"Kitchen Pass" - Hud's first Cafeteria Experience!
Well after all of the excitement Hudson had yesterday at school in "the kitchen" we had to start his 2nd day of school of right by buying him a "kitchen pass". So, we got up early and got him his very own cafeteria number with an alloted amount of money to buy his lunches. He wanted to know all about "how it worked". So, I stayed with him and showed him where the trays and silverware were located. I then showed him how to go through the lunch line and get your food. Even though he already had breakfast, he had to go through the breakfast line with me to see how it all worked. We meet "Ms. Louise", the lunch lady and he thanked her for the yummy breakfast and then proceeded to checkout with our new ID number. He was so excited! I of course was the big dork Mom with the camera capturing it all on film....it was a momentous occasion, how could I not? It was "The Kitchen", after all!
Yummo...that food looks delicious. Especially the grease-laden piece of bread. Makes me want to eat at "The Kitchen"...You'll have to go eat with him one day. That was the highlight of my school year, when my dad would come and eat with me. I just made sure that when it came time to leave he couldn't kiss me in front of any of my classmates, cuz that would embarrass me.
This blog is a convenient way to keep us connected to our friends and family. It starts with the 2008 school year: Hudson starting Kindergarten and Shep starting a 4 year old Christian PreK.
