Well, I didn't think I would cry on his first day. I am not a big crier. I told myself that Hud was ready for school so there was no need for me to get all sentimental. Well, my brave little man proved me wrong.
Cody, Shep and I were walking Hud into school. He turns around and puts up his hand to stop us and says, "Now stop! You guys stay here. I know where I am going and I can walk all by myself". Now, I expected that reaction on maybe day two or three but not on the first day of school! I leaned down to him and said, "Hud, can't Mommy walk you into school on the first day?" And he said, "Mommy, don't worry, I will always be your baby". Ok...now picture my eyes welling up with tears. The flood gates are starting to open at this point and I push the tears back before I blubber like an idiot before all of the other parents. He is so independent. Thank you, Jesus for my strong little man!
