My buddy, Dana came down to visit with us this weekend. It is so hard to believe that we have been friends since college (for those of you who are doing the math; we have been friends for 20 years, unbelieveable!). We decided to take advantage of this beautiful weather today and take the boys to the park in McKinney It was snowing and icy on Tuesday and now 4 days later it is beautiful and 70 degrees outside. Cody is out of town in New York and I feel a little guilty taking advantage of such beautiful weather knowing that it is 9 degrees where he is and he is snowed under, literally!
We walked around the park while the boys rode their bikes. We discovered a Nature Hiking Trail that is about a mile long in the woods. We explored and had a great time making many discoveries along the way. We discovered a "labryinth" in the middle of the woods. I had no idea what it was but Dana did. It is apparently a place for meditation and prayer. You start walking from the outer circle and follow an amazing path of bricks that zig zags and winds you around to the middle (you are suppose to be praying as you walk). It was fun to do and I learned a little something along the way..... We ended up walking/biking for about 2 and a half hours; it was a lot of fun. We will definitely have to take Cody there when he comes back home.
